• For the remainder of the North IslandFine, but some cloudy periods about Gisborne and Wellington today, and also from Taupo northwards tomorrow.
• Nelson and BullerCloud increasing and drizzle patches developing tonight. Long fine spells again tomorrow.
• Westland and FiordlandCloudy periods and some patchy drizzle, mainly south of Hokitika.
• Marlborough, Canterbury, Otago and SouthlandMostly fine with high cloud, but some brief rain about Southland today.
• Chatham IslandsOccasional showers.

• TuesdayNorth Island, a few showers in the north, turning to rain in the far north later in the day. Patchy drizzle in Bay of Plenty, but mainly fine elsewhere. South Island, rain spreading north along the west coast and in the south, fine with high cloud elsewhere.
• WednesdayNorth Island, a few showers in the north, patchy drizzle in Bay of Plenty and Gisborne and Hawkes Bay, but fine with cloud increasing elsewhere. South Island, rain in the west, with some heavy falls in Westland and Fiordland, scattered rain in the east, but remaining dry in Marlborough.
• ThursdayShowers or rain in most places, but only a few light falls in east of the North Island.
• FridayShowers over much of the country, but becoming fine in the east from Marlborough to Gisborne and also in Bay of Plenty.
• Chatham IslandsCloudy periods with a few showers throughout the period. Southeasterlies turning northeast late on Wednesday.
