Weather History
Four days of heavy rain in Auckland was responsible for a good deal of damage and inconvenience. The water supply to the city was almost completely cut off and water was carted to the Auckland Hospital in tanks, while trucks carted water to residents in some suburbs. Passengers in the Whangarei-Auckland express had to spend the night in the train due to slips on the line.
